Rashoon

Rashoon is a Demoness in the Dukante Hierarchy, listed in Family Eight (8). Family Eight (8) is made of demons associated with feminine desire, greed, and power. It’s clear why Rashoon would be listed in such a family when we look at her domains. Family eight (8) is theorized to just be an extension of Family three (3), with the female counterparts. She a Demoness who is over things such as desire and passion, as well as a wife of the Demon Mammon.

I would also like to add there are often times disagreements on if people feel the Dukante Hierarchy is as it is described, some doubting the validity of its creation, or the truth in what we have. With that said, due to so little being mentioned in the book most of what I’ll talk about here has come from people who follow Rashoon, who have documented their experiences. I am not an authority to tell you if the Demons in the Dukante Hierarchy are ‘real’ or if you should worship any of them. What I can tell you is despite the controversy there is an abundance of people who’ve posted their own blogs and have talked about their own experiences with Rashoon. And that is what I am here to today to talk about: my findings from texts, and followers to create a small ‘biography’ for Demonic Figures.

As Rashoon is a Demoness from the Dukante Hierarchy, there is not much in the way of religious text like we’d find for Goetic demons. This is mostly because at his time of death, it’s said Richard Dukante had 25 unpublished texts. Most of what we have from them are solely from S. Connolly’s collaboration with S. Dukante. Sadly, that means I don’t have many texts to provide. For that I apologize.

Prominent Books and Text Mentioning Rashoon

Complete Guide to Demonolatry by S. Connolly

The Dukante Grimoires, which are not published works.

Depictions

Rashoon is often described as having tanned skin, and long, silky dark hair. Other depictions of her have pale skin, and long black hair. Outside of their there’s a few different UPG descriptions from followers of Rashoon that include different appearances, most of which are described as very attractive and using bright eye catching, or dark feminine colors. This seems fitting due to the nature of her domains. Most of the time if I see a more demonic form mentioned it’s more so in line with horns and wings, but not much else.

Common Information

Common information is actually hard to dictate here, as there is no real way to cross check much more than UPG of this Demoness at the time being, and possibly never will be more from the Dukante Grimoires. The only thing we see that remains steady are her domains and the sigil provided in The Complete Book of Demonolatry.

Sadly, this means I don’t have much to go off of for an active comparison across texts, outside there is often argument over if she is Mammon’s one and true wife, which is more so just an argument on if demons believe in polygamy or not. These arguments are usually in forums, between individual practitioner’s instead of texts documenting the demons.

I don’t personally assign human ideals to entities of any kind so to me it makes no true difference, but she is the one that is most commonly cited as his wife which I imagine is where the active discourse comes from when other wives are mentioned. As for the marriage habits of demons, that is an entirely different discussion to be had, and I feel as most of the ones I’ve seen have been through the human lens which tends to skew things towards our ‘favor’ instead.

Interactions Towards Followers

Rashoon does seem to have a very intense energy, and I think it’s one that could possibly scare off people new to the scene. Some describe it as being in attendance of a queen from a culture different from your own. A feeling of “am I acting accordingly” but long-term followers seem to have a much different idea of Rashoon. Long term followers quote Rashoon as a loving and nurturing Demoness, who is essentially their best support and often grounds them in reality while still showing them ways they can improve that are realistic for themselves.

Everything I’ve found talks about Rashoon as being someone who can teach you to step into yourself and your power. Energy work seems to be very important in this, as a tool to help you lift yourself up into what you want from your life.

Rashoon can be seen as stern yet supportive. Pushes followers for self-improvement and demands discipline out of individuals to keep with that self-betterment. There are no excuses as to why you can’t have something-only a statement that if you want it you should reach for it.

Common Offerings and Devotional Acts

Color associations seem to be very common, wearing it or giving items in those favored colors working well, such as candles. Crystal offerings also work, with metals such as gold being favored Titanium is mentioned commonly but not nearly as much. Flowers like tiger lilies seem to be favored, but other flowers commonly associated with passion and desire like roses work as well. Overall, it seems Rashoon is relatively open in terms of acceptable offerings and is cited as being appreciative of any and all things given.

Not many sources share their personal offerings but note that anything related to her domains are a safe bet for devotional offerings. Some also list food items like sugar, chocolates, and wines. Also, things that would be given with passion, like flower arrangements. This is not as commonly mentioned, however.

For devotional acts self-betterment, dance, displays of confidence, as well as general self-love and care seem to be most commonly cited. Once more not many people dive heavily into this, but it’s been commonly stated Rashoon and refers actions related to her or her domain specifically. Some people do sex magic in her name, or release an orgasm in devotion, though this is not often talked about. It’s very common for Fem people to seek her out to become more confident and content in their looks and bodies.
